Teuta Norman
My interest in practicing immigration law is deeply rooted in my professional and personal journey. After graduating from Willamette University College of Law, I gravitated towards the field of immigration law because of my keen interest in Human Rights and Social Justice Law, my strong desire to help others, and the intellectual challenge immigration law presents. I also am an immigrant, and my personal journey from a J-1 research scholar to celebrating U.S. citizenship helps me better understand the dreams of foreign nationals. and the unique challenges they face.
Drawing on my experience as a founding partner of Hecht & Norman, LLP for almost two decades and as an immigration attorney for over 24 years, I founded Pacific to continue providing immigration law expertise with a group of talented colleagues. With a deep understanding of business immigration complexities, I partner with organizations, entrepreneurs, and professionals to find effective and creative solutions that align with their staffing and professional goals. In addition to business immigration, I also represent individuals and families in their immigration matters. From family and humanitarian immigration, to representing children and victims of violent crimes and abuse, to business immigration, I approach each case with a combination of knowledge, determination, compassion, trust, and respect.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, reading about philosophy, and photography, but I can give up any of these activities for a challenging hike in the Pacific Northwest. Cooking is another passion. In Albania where I grew up, food is considered an important way to bring people together, so naturally I love to cook and share creative dishes with friends and family. My “byrek” and “baklava” are particularly popular.
